Join us for a howling good time- Paint Your Rescue Sip n Paint event. This beginner-friendly acrylic paint class creates the purrfect opportunity for you to create a personalized portrait of your beloved rescue pet, guided by Becca from The Gallery in the Woods.

What’s Included:
- Personalized Pre-Sketch: Submit a high-quality close-up photo of your pet by April 25, 2026 (details below- recommend emailing once you register) to have a custom sketch prepared for you.
- Guided Painting Session: Becca will lead you through the process of painting your pet’s portrait, ensuring a fun and rewarding experience.
- Materials Provided: All necessary materials, including brushes, paints, and a pre-sketched canvas, will be supplied.
Additional Information:
- Photo Submission: Email your pet’s photo to becca.urey@gmail.com with “Critter Camp” your last name, and background color preference in the subject line by April 25th. This is extremely important as I have two paint your pet events the month of May. Portraits received beyond this date will not be sketched in time for the party. Please submit photo as soon as you register. Sorry, only one pet photo per portrait.
- Artist recommendation- If you are painting a pet that has passed, please give yourself time to grieve- painting a pet that has passed is an emotional process. I want you to create the best version of your pet and to honor your pet. I don’t want to persuade you from a tribute but experience has taught me that if it is too soon- you aren’t ready to paint. Please wait for a future session. Please reach out if you have any questions.
- Headshot preference or see the sample photos that past participants have submitted. These portraits will be pre-sketched on a 16×20 large canvas. Tips for taking your best pet photo. Get level with your pet- lay on floor if you need to. Use treats or toys to get their attention and capture their natural personality. Be patient. Take several photos in a row. Please make sure the full photo of your pet is within the shot. Adjust lighting, if necessary to capture the color/markings of your beloved pet. Most important- have fun!
