Oxford dictionary defines inspiration as the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel especially something creative. I thought about what better way to share my first blog than to share with you what inspires me. The answer is simple, it’s all of you! It’s the beginners who take my paint and sip class and wow me you’re your incredible ability to create something that is your very own! When I first started painting more than thirteen years ago, painting was my therapy to overcome health issues. Today, I’m inspired by the feeling I get when I see you paint for the first time, and you realize that you can paint. My favorite part of class is when you ask a question, I provide guidance and then walk away, and I come back a few mins later and you have exceeded both of our expectations. Honestly, I never thought I’d find something that I love more than painting but It’s teaching, guiding and showing you how to create your very own masterpiece. Thanks for the warm feels! It’s my hope that you will find painting a therapeutic and fun experience. Whether your inspiration comes from your imagination (lucky pup), music (Black horse and a Cherry Tree) or by nature (most of my work), animals (the other half of my paintings) or by poetry (Old Winter Barn) I hope that your inspiration makes you feel exactly like I do, the need to do something creative. I look forward to seeing you at the next paint and sip party, group or private art class! Until the next art lesson, keep painting and be sure to let me know what inspires you!
